P-A-R-T-Why? Because I GOTTA

I don't blame myself. My parents are away. I was, without a doubt, having a party. It had been decided from the very moment I found out they were going to Ireland. That wasn't the problem.

The problem was that I let my sister invite people. I spent a lot of money to make this party happen--and the fruits of my hard work and money turned out to be seeing three empty liquor bottles in my kitchen at 8:30 PM. 8:30 PM. And this was BEFORE Daylight Savings Time ended. I felt like Ralphie's dad in A Christmas Story when he discovered that the Bumpuses' dogs had eaten his Christmas turkey.

Captain Morgan's--GONE!

Jose Cuervo--GONE!

Smirnoff Twist--GONE!

All I had left to comfort me was less than half a bottle of Jack Daniel's. Me and Jack were best friends for the next couple hours.

Another side effect of having a lot of 17-year-olds in my house was that I started drinking far too early. The keg was tapped by 8, the liquor was mostly gone, and by 8:40 my sister was smashed. I'm glad I missed out on this shit in high school.

As it turns out, it's probably a good thing that most of the people I invited didn't come. I embarrassed myself enough with the few friends of mine that came.

Maybe next time I try to have a party, I won't get overambitious and try to make it so epic. I've never been a guy who's had a ton of friends. Hopefully next time I'll remember that.

HA HA HA. Good time Kev. It is always fun goingi back to the old hood and seeing old friends. Screw those little kids, next time we will have some real fun without having to babysit.
